Board of Health Appoints Brent Richardson as BCHU CEO

BRANTFORD, ON – The Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) Board of Health (BOH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent Richardson to the position of Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.

Mr. Richardson has been employed by BCHU since 2017, most recently as Acting Senior Administrator. During his tenure, he has held positions of increasing responsibility and complexity, overseeing organizational aspects regarding the delivery of integrated HR, safety, wellness, finance, and technology programming.

With a professional background in human resources, finance, operations and leadership development, Richardson brings a wealth of senior leadership and executive experiences to the role.

“Our Board believes Brent’s commitment to learning and innovation and unique mix of skills and leadership qualities, position him for success in leading the Health Unit forward,” said Susan Brown, BCHU Board of Health Chair. “On behalf of the Board of Health, we are pleased to welcome Brent into this new role.”

Richardson remains committed to working with the BOH, Dr. Rebecca Comley, Acting Medical Officer of Health, Health Unit staff and community partners to foster an environment that advances and highlights the importance and value of local public health in our community.
