COVID-19 Outbreak declared at Paris Presbyterian Church

Published on: December 14, 2021

BRANTFORD, ON – The Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Paris Presbyterian Church located at 164 Grand River St. N. in Paris.

The outbreak was declared on December 13, after three cases of COVID-19 were found in those present at the church that did not have clear, identifiable transmission sources outside of this facility.

As per typical case and contact management protocols, the individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 have been directed to self-isolate for 10 days.

Anyone who attended this facility on December 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 should monitor for COVID-19 related symptoms. If symptoms develop, individuals should isolate immediately and seek assessment and testing at the assessment centre operated by the Brant Community Healthcare System or through participating pharmacies.

All those who attended the service held on Sunday, December 5 would be considered low-risk for acquiring COVID-19, based on BCHU’s investigation.

This facility will remain open. Any high-risk, close contacts to the affected cases identified by BCHU are currently self-isolating.
