Active Living

The Brant County Health Unit connects with local communities, schools, and workplaces to promote physical activity for people of all ages. We believe active living is key to a healthy life.

The rise of technology has led to a shift in our lifestyles. We spend far more time sitting and scrolling on screens than our parents and grandparents did. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to health problems, so we support Health Canada guidelines that people of all ages incorporate physical activity into their daily lives.

Getting the right amount of physical activity to support health and improve quality of life does not have to be complicated or difficult. Incorporating movement into your work and play can make a huge difference in your overall health and sense of wellbeing.
