​Retirement of BCHU CEO Dr. Jo Ann Tober

BRANTFORD, ON – Dr. Jo Ann Tober, Chief Executive Officer of the Brant County Health Unit has announced her retirement.  “We want to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Tober for her years of dedicated service and contributions to the health unit and the residents of this community.  We wish her all the best in retirement”, said Susan Brown, Chair of the Board of Health.

To ensure uninterrupted pandemic response and the continued resumption of core public health programming, the Board of Health has promoted Mr. Brent Richardson to the role of Acting Senior Administrator of the Brant County Health Unit, effective June 9, 2022.  He has been a senior leader at the Health Unit for four years.  Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Rebecca Comley and Mr. Richardson will lead the Health Unit, promote a culture of innovation, growth and collaboration, and work together with community partners in the growing integrated health care system locally.
